Golf Gear Guides

Browse published equipment guides, comparisons and practical buying advice.

Choose the type of equipment you are researching. Each section links to a live category hub, not a second copy of an archive. Unpublished topic ideas are not presented as finished articles.

Clubs & Fitting

Compare drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, irons, wedges and putters with fit and compatibility in mind. Start with the club you need to replace, the shots it needs to cover and the evidence available for a particular head, shaft or build. A new release is not automatically a better choice than a suitable previous-generation or used club.

Balls & Practice

Golf balls and home-practice equipment are easy to buy without a clear plan for using them. This section brings together ball comparisons and practice setups, with an emphasis on a defined question, repeatable observations and the space available. Expensive equipment is not a substitute for knowing what you are trying to assess.

Bags & Trolleys

A golf bag, trolley and the accessories attached to them need to work together. This section looks at storage, carrying, loading, compatibility and care, rather than judging each item in isolation. Start with how you get to the course, how you move around it and where the equipment lives between rounds.

Wear & Weather

Golf shoes, gloves, layers and wet-weather clothing are personal purchases. This section focuses on fit, practical checks, care and documented product features. A recommendation should explain its intended conditions and its limitations, not promise universal comfort or protection.

Tech & Upkeep

GPS devices, rangefinders and maintenance products create different buying decisions. This section covers those decisions alongside second-hand checks, care and repair boundaries. The aim is to understand the tool and its limitations before paying for features or attempting an alteration.
