Taylor's Trailblazing Golf
Editorial Policy
Standards for useful golf-equipment content and accountable publication.
This policy applies to content published by Taylor’s Trailblazing Golf. Karen Taylor is responsible for editorial approval and corrections.
Purpose and scope
Publish to answer a real equipment question. A page should add a clear explanation, comparison or practical decision aid rather than exist only to target a search phrase or display commercial links. Closely overlapping questions should be combined or linked appropriately.
Source selection
Use the original source best placed to establish a claim: a current manufacturer manual for a product instruction, the responsible rules authority or event organiser for competition requirements, and a retailer for the exact offer being quoted. User feedback can reveal issues worth investigating but is not a substitute for verification.
Claims and evidence
Distinguish a documented fact, an attributed claim, a direct observation and an editorial judgement. Do not fabricate ownership, testing, professional input, testimonials, measurements or results. Explain uncertainty and material source disagreements.
Human responsibility and AI
AI and other tools may support drafting, organisation and consistency checks. Their output must be checked against reliable sources before publication. They are not authoritative sources and do not take responsibility away from the editor.
Images and illustrations
Use images only where the site owns the rights or has appropriate permission. Label illustrations and AI-generated imagery where needed so they are not mistaken for documentary testing or exact product photographs. Alt text should describe useful image content.
Advertising and independence
Make commercial relationships clear before readers encounter the relevant promotion. Use an unambiguous label such as “Ad – includes affiliate links” where appropriate. Keep disadvantages and non-commercial alternatives in the comparison when they affect the decision.
Updates and corrections
Recheck material information after a model change, rule change, stock issue or credible correction report. An updated date should reflect a meaningful review, not a cosmetic refresh. See the Fact-Checking and Corrections Policy.
